17th July 2013
Elegance and ease. This is Brian Cook.
I just got an email that this coming Sunday, July 21, il Bagatto — which all of you know is my favorite restaurant — is closing with the following proviso:
"AS IL BAGATTO’S 18TH SEASON COMES TO AN END,
WE ARE CLOSING DOWN FOR SUMMER VACATIONS,
SOME SPRUCING UP
AND A BIT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT.”
While il Posto Accanto is staying open, and they are continuing their delivery business, I am going to make sure I have a last meal there this week before they close for what sounds like some well-deserved rest and contemplation. In fact, I’ll be there Sunday for a last piece of lasagna. If you’re in NYC between now and Sunday, I strongly recommend you go. 192 East 2nd Street (between Avenues A and B). You won’t regret it.
100% Cosign. I’m going twice.
Antonio Liverano in Blue Linen
I’ve been able to think little else than Signore Liverano, Roberto Ugolini and the strong history of Florentine artisans since I left Pitti. It’s not surprising as my father used to say that beauty inspires beauty and excellence inspires excellence.
Casual in Brasov
Desu casual. Nice shades.
One of the most genuine people I know.
It’s an honor to be working alongside you my friend.
Nick is the best of the best.
Three men of immense character.
Three of my strongest inspirations.
Well met - Ciongoli and Ragosta
Four-Pins, thank you for saying I don’t suck.
